The Girls Event Company is an event planning company launched with the purpose of bringing fun and exciting events to the Greater Des Moines area. The Girls deliver a unique and fresh perspective to every event they produce.
 
 
Who are The Girls?
Lori Vander Zyl & Tricia Foy met while working together at The Des Moines Arts Festival.  They are passionate about all that goes into planning amazing events.  From idea creation through development, design, promotion and execution, they work diligently to bring the right people together.  This focus ensures successful events that meet our client’s needs and maximize the patron’s enjoyment.
 
The Girls have experience in planning large-scale public and private events.  Whether events are small and private in nature, or large and highly visible, they have the experience to match.  The Girls will work with an individual, small business, non-profit or corporation to provide a customized solution.

What’s in a name?
While brainstorming names for their new business, Lori and Tricia thought back to the time when they met, working at the Des Moines Arts Festival with Mo Dana.  Mo was a dynamic leader with a clear vision for creating great events for the City of Des Moines.  Often referred to by Mo as ‘The Girls’ they knew it would be a fitting name and a tribute to Mo to name the business The Girls Event Company.
